Yuj, Yoga and Leadership

The classic word "Yuj" means "To Bind" or "To Join". The word Yoga comes from the word Yuj.

"Yoke" has the same source. A Yoke is used to join the forces of horses pulling a coach.

Yuj stands for joining forces in order to get coherent movements.

Leadership connects the outsideworld of an organization to the innerworld.

Personal Leadership connects our own outerworld to our innerworld, our strength and motivation.

What we can experience with Yoga appears to be a good metaphor for practical leadership.

That is why programs for Senior management and Leadership integrate Yoga in their programs.

Testimonial of one of the participants:  "The Yoga-teacher, René Tol, showed me the parallel between the way my body functions and how organizations function. He taught me what giving space to your body really means"

Practicing Yoga makes us more effective leaders.

Of course; Yoga is also an old path for personal development. Practicing Yoga we come across everything the old texts speak about. Therefore the next pages will give a compilation of these old texts.

Yoga integrates Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual aspect of our professional and personal life.
